Example 2 of applying DSRC roadside systems for traffic congestion surveys.

[Application Case] How to Build a Traffic Survey Using ETC On-Board Units with the DSRC Roadside System ME9300 via LTE Connection

Method for constructing a traffic congestion survey using ETC on-board units via LTE connection with the DSRC roadside system ME9300 The DSRC roadside system ME9300 is a system that utilizes ETC, which is used on highways. It communicates with the ETC on-board units installed in vehicles to obtain a unique ID called WCN (Wireless Call Number). By utilizing this WCN, it can be applied to traffic congestion surveys between two points on a specific route. The WCN obtained by ME9301 (DSRC antenna) is transmitted to ME9302 (interface box) via ME9303 (dedicated I/F cable). Since ME9302 is equipped with an Ethernet port, it is possible to transfer the obtained WCN to external PCs, etc., through LAN, WAN, and other connections. Additionally, external PCs can control the start and end of WCN acquisition for the ME9300 system. Here, we present an example of constructing a traffic congestion survey system using wireless configuration with LTE connection on ME9300. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
